About Thomas Silvera, CST, MSHS-PH
Thomas Silvera-President/Co-Founder of the Eliah-Alavi Foundation.
Thomas Silvera is a Certified Surgical Technologist and Public Health Advocate. He holds a Master of Science degree in Public Health and is currently pursuing his Doctoral Degree.
Outside of his work with the foundation, Thomas, aided in the New York State passing of a historical piece of legislation called Elijah's Law a law named after his son, Elijah-Alavi, signed by Governor Andrew Cuomo on September 12th, 2019. Recently, he played an active role in the passing of legislation in Illinois, also known as Elijah's Law HB102, that has been signed by Governor J.B. Pritzker on August 20th, 2021. As of October 7th, 2021 Elijah's Law a law championed by Thomas and Dina, Office of Children and Family Services, former Lieutenant Governor Brian Benjamin, and Assemblyman Al Taylor is now in full effect in NYS and N.Y STATE will be allocating $19.5 million dollars for the Auvi-q auto-injector initiative for child care centers in NYS in support of Elijah's Law. Thomas' goal is to implement Elijah's Law state by state and, eventually, nationally.
